Burghley Veterinary Centre is recruiting veterinary surgeons at its proudly independent practice in Stamford.

Located on the border of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Rutland and Northants, Burghley Veterinary Centre has excellent commuting links, and is just a short walk from a beautiful market town.

You will be joining a close-knit team including two vets, experienced RVNs and SVNs, four receptionists, and practice manager, all working in collaboration to achieve the best outcomes possible. They are very supportive, and are looking forward to welcoming another vet who will take the job seriously, but not themselves.

The practice has worked with many new graduates over the years, and offers a collaborative approach and a clear development pathway. With over 70 years experience between the team, this is a great place to thrive in your first position since graduating.

The practice is ISFM and RCVS PSS registered, and has state-of-the-art facilities including IDEXX in-house analysers, Zoetis Imagyst for in-house cytology and a Class 4 K-Laser.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 8.15am-6pm on weekdays. Time is allocated for any administrative or case development work, and your one-hour lunch break is protected from interruption.

Weekends are managed on a 1:4 rota - Saturday consults are 8.15am-11.00am and 2.30pm-4.00pm. Sundays require some check-ins when there are in-patients, however a vet nurse will be on-site.

Out of hours are provided by VetsNow, however, the practice covers their own inpatient care. Therefore, there is a 1 in 4 weeknight cover, mainly via phone for advice as required by the nurse staying over, again as and when, if there are inpatients at practice.

Salary: 35,000-70,000 (DOE)
