Birds culled in East Anglia amid further avian influenza outbreaks
A 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance Zone have been placed around the affected sites.
A protection zone is currently in place across much of the region.

Three further cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) were identified in East Anglia over the weekend.

Defra confirmed HPAI H5N1 in poultry at a second premises near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, and at two more premises near Attleborough, Norfolk, on 1 October.

All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled, and a 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance Zone have been placed around affected the sites.

An Avian Influenza Protection Zone is currently in force across Norfolk, Suffolk and parts of Essex.
